About OPERATION COMMUNITY BBQ
Operation Community BBQ is a community-based organization that is dedicated to promoting the joys of BBQ and bringing people together. Our mission is to create a vibrant and inclusive online BBQ community that brings together experienced grill masters, rookies, and enthusiasts to share tips, tricks, and inspiration. We believe that BBQ is not just a hobby, but a means to build stronger communities and bring people together.
January Recipient
Since being encouraged to BBQ it has given my family a wider variety of options to enjoy for dinner, as well as bring us closer. Now, my wife and I can share and alternate days for cooking. She is a big fan of the smoked chicken. Me and my daughters favorite are the spare ribs. The Weber Kettle grill has allowed my family to enjoy outdoors cooking more often. Which results in spending more quality time as a family that we love to have. Thank you Operation Community BBQ and thank you Kunchi for inspiring myself and many others.

Meet Jon, February’s Grill Donation recipient.
“A little about me, grew up in NJ, moved to FL as I was finishing middle school. Lived there for a few years with my parents while I finished school. Joined the Navy following my life’s dream of seeing the world and working with fighter jets. Always wanted to be a fighter pilot just wasn’t in the cards for me though. One thing though was that I’ve always had a passion for good food. First recipe I learned I was 7? Maybe, rosemary chicken. Honey Rosemary and lemon juice sauteed over a chicken breast and served with a pesto linguini. As you can see I never forgot it, lol. The first time I dipped a toe into really cooking was to remake that dish in highschool and it actually came out better than at the restaurant I had it at like 8 years prior! I entertained the idea of becoming a chef, which my family did not support (which I rub in their face now because of how much better my food is than there’s lol) oh well, personally I think it all worked out for the best restaurant life is stressful, and I enjoy just having this hobby of making delicious food for my friends and family.”
